Johnson & Johnson Vision Contact Lens Products
Parameter reference for Acuvue contact lens lines currently available in Singapore, spanning daily, bi-weekly, and monthly replacement schedules. UV Protection — Class I across the Acuvue range
Acuvue is the only major contact lens brand to offer Class I UV blocking across multiple lens lines — including the daily, bi-weekly, and monthly ranges. Class I UV blocking (≥90% UVA / ≥99% UVB) exceeds the Class II threshold (≥70% UVA / ≥95% UVB) and is incorporated directly into the lens material. While contact lenses do not replace sunglasses for full ocular UV protection, Acuvue's consistent Class I coverage across most of its portfolio is a clinically relevant differentiator. The 1-Day Acuvue Moist family carries Class II protection. All other listed Acuvue lenses carry Class I.

Acuvue multifocal lenses use a Low / Mid / High add designation system rather than a specific dioptre value. Lens selection is based on the patient's near addition requirement — Low (up to +1.25 D), Mid (+1.50 to +2.00 D), High (+2.25 D and above). Confirm current add-level boundaries with your Acuvue Singapore representative as designations may be updated.
Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism (bi-weekly) CYL extends to −2.75 DC — wider than the daily toric range. Acuvue Oasys MAX 1-Day and Oasys 1-Day share the same base material (senofilcon A) but differ in surface treatment: TearStable technology (MAX) vs HydraLuxe. Both carry UV Class I protection.
1-Day Acuvue Moist family carries UV Class II protection. All other listed Acuvue products carry UV Class I (≥90% UVA / ≥99% UVB). UV-blocking contact lenses do not replace sunglasses.
